Management Team Biographies
James Lockwood, P.E. , CEO, Aero Solutions (Boulder)
Mr. Lockwood has over 25 years of industry experience as a design/builder with 10 years in the wireless industry. From 1989 to 1998, Mr. Lockwood was Principal of J. Muller International, (JMI) where he established and led the company’s Chicago and New York City offices. In 1996, he established, as CEO and Managing Director, Egis Inc. in New York City, an affiliate company of JMI and the US operations of Groupe Egis in Paris, FR, the largest French transportation group of 5,600. JMI specialized in major bridge consulting worldwide with offices in Europe, Asia and North America.
Mr. Lockwood founded Comptek Structural Composites, Inc. in 1998 in New York, a product development company and manufacturer of fiber reinforced polymer materials. In 2002, he established Aero Solutions in New York and expanded the company’s offices to CO, PA, and TX to 2006. Aero operates on a national level today and has continually serviced the wireless tower industry since 2003 in Bermuda. Aero and Comptek are headquartered in Boulder, CO. Aero Solutions optimizes the load carrying capacity of tower structures through design/build services and its engineered reinforcing products. The company also manages the structural integrity of tower structure portfolios.
Mr. Lockwood holds a BSCE degree from the Univ. of Cincinnati, an MSCE degree from the Univ. of Washington and is a registered Professional Engineer. He worked as a research engineer at the SFB 64 Group of the Institute for Massivbau in Stuttgart and worked as a structural engineer in the offices of Leonhardt and Andra, Stuttgart, Germany. Mr. Lockwood received a post graduate fellowship at the Technical Univ. of Denmark in 1985. Other studies include Executive MBA coursework at the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern Univ., Stern School of Business of NYU and as a member of the CEN Network.
